On paper,TimWalzand Iarealotalike. We both served in the military, weare both former educators, we both worked on farms,and we both live in Southern Minnesota. But thatiswhere our similarities end.
While our backgroundsare similar, our politics couldnotbeany different,and our countryisbeing soldalie by Democrats who wantyouto think heisamoderate.
Minnesota was once known for its beautiful lakes, rolling hillsand ruralcharm. Under Gov.TimWalz, Minnesota has been known forriots,tampons in boys’ bathroomsandfree tuition for illegal immigrants.

Hisrecord on the economyisno better.
In the first quarter of 2024,Minnesota’s GDP shrankby nearlyapercentage point. He hasadvocated formillions ofdollars in tax increaseson hardworking Minnesota families,all while increasing government spending by more than 40%annually.
UnderWalz’s failed leadership, Minnesota hasrankedat the top of the listfor states suffering from out-migration.
VideoWalzhas defendedhisrecord of promoting socialist policies by saying, “One person’s socialismisanother person’s neighborliness.”
Thesearenotthe policies supported byamajority of Minnesotans,and they certainly willnotbe supported byamajority ofAmericans.
I representadistrict in the southern part of Minnesotaand nearly every month, I receiveapostcard from Gov. Kristi Noem encouraging my familyand our neighbors to move to South Dakota for better-paying jobsand more freedom.
VideoJust south of us, Iowa has lower tax ratesand better opportunities than our communities.TimWalzhas forgotten the community that raised him,andas vice president, he will likely forget the state that gave himhisplatform.
I would like to think I haveaunique perspective on Minnesota vice presidential nominees – afterall, I didlive in Walter Mondale’schildhood home.
But millions ofAmericansacross this country share my concerns. Right here in Minnesota, I have heard the concerns of my neighborsand constituents – many of whom voted forWalz – thathisprogressive politicsdonotbring balance to the Democratic ticket.
VideoBut I think this decision has less todowithWalz’s politicsand more todowith winning in November. Thisisagood thing for Republicansand shows just how weak the Democratsare.
The Democrats’ decision to chooseWalzindicates trouble in the Rust Belt. States like Minnesota, Wisconsinand Michigan have 35 must-win electoral votes. Though Minnesota hasnotvoted foraRepublican presidential candidate since Richard Nixon,former President Trump’s policies offerastark contrast to Walz’s failed tenure.
Polls indicate these statesare tightand could starttrending red. Trump thinks he willsweepthe entire region.
VideoTheAmerica First policies of low taxes, stronger bordersand more good-paying manufacturing jobs resonate with Rust Belt voters who have been takenadvantage of by Washington. Thisisquite the contrast from the Democratic ticket.
Kamala HarrisandTimWalzare the most radically progressive presidentialand vice presidential candidates of my lifetime,andasaformerhistory teacher, I can tellyouhe may be one of the most radical in our nation’s entirehistory –and theyare proud to wear that badge.
Walzwas once my congressman,and heiscurrently my governor.But hispoliciesdonotrepresent me, my district or my state,and they certainlydonotrepresent our nation.

The mediaand national Democrats wantyouto think thatWalzisjust likeyouand me. He’sacamo-wearing, duck-hunting,Midwesterndad – in other words, he’s justanormal Minnesotan.
ButdonotlethisfolksyMidwesterncharmfoolyou – TimWalzisnotamoderate. He has governed our state from the far leftand willdothe same if elected our next vice president.
